Since October, I've had 5 eye appointments. I have two more scheduled, plus I'll need to schedule another two more. In order, we have:
- Optometrist for new prescription
- Exam by ophthalmologist (referred by optometrist who saw something "interesting")
- Contact lens fitting
- Contact lens follow up
- Another visit to a different optometrist to double check prescription because contacts aren't quite right
The something "interesting" turned out to be optic nerve drusen.
Today is a visual field test, and in a couple weeks will be a photo (includes dilation - joy!)
With the updated prescription, that will mean another lens fitting and follow up.
Christ on crutch, I haven't been to a doctor this many times in a YEAR, let alone two months. Here's hoping things clear up...pun intended.

Ugh...I hope everything works out! Do you at least have a vision plan from your job benefits? I finally got to my eye dr the day before Thanksgiving. No change needed in my prescription finally for the first time since 1999, but my eyes are fighting by adding extra protein deposits every day making things foggy and annoying, so I don't know what that's about...but I did get to be the guineapig for his new retina imaging system since they were installing it that morning!
